Startups might want to clear their calendars Monday afternoon.

The Lean Startup Conference, a San Francisco-based event, will be made available in West Michigan, thanks to Start Garden being named the conference’s official simulcast partner in Grand Rapids.

Grand Rapids-based Start Garden, Rick DeVos’ $15-million seed fund, will present a simulcast of the first day of the conference, Monday, for free — from noon-4 p.m. at its downtown space, at 50 Louis St. NW.

The conference will feature more than 70 entrepreneur speakers from a wide range of industries.

The Lean Startup Conference brings together leaders from startups, Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and nonprofits to share lessons for building innovative lean organizations.

“Whether you’re new to lean startup methods or have been putting these practices to use in your organization, this event promises to educate and inform,” according to the event’s web page.

People can register online to watch the simulcast at Start Garden.
