Local First names nominees for LocalMotion Awards
Local First has released its list of nominees for its fourth annual LocalMotion Awards.
The LocalMotion Award winners will be announced on Jan. 28 at Local First’s Annual Meeting at the Goei Center in Grand Rapids.
"We have an excellent group of nominees for LocalMotion Awards this year,” said Elissa Hillary, executive director of Grand Rapids-based Local First. “These businesses and individuals are pillars in our community. They lead the way in sustainability, collaboration and neighborhood revitalization and demonstrate how to truly live local. With their contributions, West Michigan is a better place.”
A committee comprised of local business and community leaders will select the award winners.
Local First’s annual meeting will feature heavy hors d'oeuvres from various local businesses and beer and wine from Art of the Table.
Music will be performed by Marcel & Cindy of Under the Sun.
Tickets to the LocalMotion Awards can be purchased online, and everyone is welcome.
A description of each award and previous winners is online.
