Who in Grand Rapids is truly EPIC?

That’s what the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce is hoping nominations will discover for this year’s annual EPIC Awards.

The chamber awards recognize individual and business excellence across several categories: entrepreneurial, progressive, innovative and collaborative.

Nominations for the awards below will be closed at 5 p.m. on Jan. 31.

Award categories

Excellence in Business: nominees must be for profit or nonprofit organizations with more than 50 employees

Small Business of the Year: nominees must be for-profit organizations with 50 or fewer employees

Young Entrepreneur of the Year: nominees must be business owners age 35 or younger

Minority-owned Business of the Year: nominees must be at least 51 percent minority owned

Woman-owned Business of the Year: nominees must be at least 51 percent woman owned

Nonprofit of the Year: nominees must be nonprofit organizations with 50 or fewer employees

The winners will be announced at an awards dinner on May 15 at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park.
