Fashion store steps out
A fashion store for both women and men is settling into one of the city’s busiest corridors.
Ally’s Boutique is hosting a fashion show at 6 p.m. tomorrow at Louis Benton steakhouse — before hosting its official grand opening at its 2,500-square-foot space in Grand Rapids, at 2211 E. Beltline NE.
The fashion show will showcase more than 60 styles. All proceeds from the event will benefit Autism Support of Kent County.
Regular tickets are $35, and VIP tickets are $50. Tickets to the show can be purchased by calling the store at 616-717-0004.
The store's grand-opening event, from March 13-15, will feature cocktails, appetizers, discounts and door prizes.
Ally’s Boutique opened last fall and carries brands from the Cartise International collection and handbags from Michigan-based designer Jenna Kator.
The store also offers “style consultations” and “impeccable service,” said Ally Bakrow, owner of Ally’s Boutique.
“We wanted to be part of a growing community and offer a boutique that carries items customers won’t find in other West Michigan stores,” Bakrow said.
The store is the result of Bakrow’s experiences working at Chanel Boutique in Boston and as a representative for major labels working with buyers, she said.
“I realized that I can provide a wonderful fashion experience for the modern woman and knew I could master that concept with my own brand of stores,” Bakrow said.
Bakrow added that the store is hiring.
