PR industry names PRoof Award winners
The public relations industry recently honored the best work in the region during the PRoof Awards at the CityFlatsHotel ballroom.
The annual awards event by the West Michigan Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America recognizes the year’s best PR programs, projects and people in the region.
WMPRSA works to advocate for PR in the region. The organization’s mission is to help PR pros "develop and sustain the essential knowledge, skills and standards that will reinforce their integral role in the effective management of organizations.”
PRoof PRemier Award
PRoof Awards in all categories are automatically considered for the PRoof PRemier Award, which is awarded for the finest example of PR programming.
This year, two entries earned perfect scores and received the PRoof PRemier Award.
Lambert Edwards & Associates in Grand Rapids received the award for “SNAK Attack!” and Ada-based Amway received the honor for “Collaboration Anytime, Anywhere!”
Inventure Foods, or SNAK, hired LE&A to help it with its investor relations and PR as the company completed two major acquisitions and 10 product introductions across five brands.
LE&A launched an integrated “SNAK Attack!” campaign to proactively stimulate investment community awareness of SNAK’s financial performance, acquisitions and new products.
The campaign resulted in more than 94 million media impressions, 118 meetings with the investment community, analyst coverage initiation and new institutional shareholders.
Amway’s “Collaboration Anytime, Anywhere!” campaign was produced to help the company through a major IT change, transitioning its email system and implementing a complementary suite of real-time collaboration tools.
Amway faced the significant challenge of how to effectively communicate the change at both a strategic and personal level to more than 20,000 office and manufacturing employees around the globe, while minimizing the impact on its business operations during the six-month migration process.
