Professionals at the lakeshore are grabbing their business cards and preparing to do some selling this week.

The Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce and The Chamber of Commerce of Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg are presenting the 14th-annual Lakeshore Business Expo this Thursday from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at Trillium Events in Spring Lake.

The annual Lakeshore Business Expo features more than 70 booths by members from both chambers and an after-hour event with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

Local businesses

The event allows chamber members to display their products and services to other businesses in the area, as well as consumers.

“There is a lot of business that gets done there,” said Pamela Blake, membership services manager, The Chamber of Commerce of Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg.

Blake said the event is open to the public and an opportunity for people to see what’s available in their backyard and support local businesses.

“A lot of times, I think that people aren’t always aware of the services that we have or the different, varied services that each of the businesses can provide,” Blake said. “It’s an opportunity to get your name and logo out there.”

Chambers

The Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce has more than 1,140 members, according to its 2013 annual report.

The Chamber of Commerce of Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg serves members in north Ottawa County and is based in Grand Haven.
