Victory Electronic Cigarettes Corporation has hired a new chief financial and administrative officer.

The company in Nunica, near Grand Haven, said last month that Jim McCormick will be responsible for all finance, tax treasury, legal, human resources, corporate strategy, external growth and investor relations.

McCormick will be replacing Robert Hartford who will be assuming the role of head of franchising for the company’s retail stores and retail mobile kiosk units.

McCormick said he’s “confident that my previous experience in the tobacco industry will be an invaluable addition to the team.”

Background

McCormick is a 16-year veteran of British American Tobacco and its associates.

Most recently, McCormick was the CFO at Sodexo’s North American Corporate Services Division.

He’s served in multiple chief financial and general management capacities around the world, including CFO and CEO roles in the U.K., Argentina, Singapore, Trinidad, Turkey and Africa.

Victory Electronic Cigarettes said that McCormick is credited with leading operations to significant levels of volume, share and EBITDA growth in highly competitive and regulated environments.

“Jim McCormick is an outstanding leader with tremendous international breadth in both general management and financial capacities,” said Brent Willis, chairman and CEO, Victory Electronic Cigarettes.

“He brings strong financial acumen, mergers and acquisition insight and industry-specific knowledge to the group.”
