A pair of eye care practices in the region are now one.

Eye Care One and C & C Optical Shop said this month the two eye care businesses in Fremont have formed a single practice to expand their services and better serve patients in the community.

C & C Optical Shop is now located within the existing Eye Care One space, at 1231 W. Main St.

The single Eye Care One practice is comprised of one full-time optometrist, two part-time optometrists, six opticians, two lab technicians and administrative staff.

Dr. Rebecca Snippe, from C & C Optical Shop, said the practices merged, in part, to combine their knowledge, technology and lab capabilities into a single facility.

“It was an opportunity to join the best of both practices,” Snippe said.

The merger will also allow the practice to offer same-day vision correction for the majority of patients.

Snippe said that patient feedback on the two eye care practices combining has been overwhelmingly positive.

The practice will offer a range of eye health and vision services: eye exams; contact lens fitting; eyewear fitting and adjustments; diagnosis and treatment of optical diseases; cataract surgery co-management; and diabetic eye care.
