One of the world’s largest sellers of rental furniture has re-designed its Grand Rapids showroom and clearance center.

Regional showroom

CORT in Chantilly, Va., an affiliate of the conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway, said this week that it has re-designed its 18,500-square-foot space in Grand Rapids, at 2950 29th St. SE.

CORT said the renovation gives its rental furniture showroom and clearance center a more modern look.

The renovation is intended to create a regional showcase of the home furnishings at CORT, said Bill Swets, regional vice president, CORT.

CORT’s in-house architectural and design team designed the showroom.

Wolverine Building Group in Grand Rapids completed the interior construction, and Kirk W. Rottschafer Building, completed the exterior construction, Swets said.

CORT was founded in 1972 and operates additional Michigan locations in Novi, Okemos and Warren.
