Coastal Container names CEO
The new CEO of Coastal Container has more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing leadership.
The company said last week that Paul Doyle will lead Coastal Container in Holland and its Coastal Automotive business in Rochester Hills.
Doyle replaces former CEO Brent Patterson, who’s stepping down, but will remain the company’s chairman.
Coastal Container and Coastal Automotive supply packaging products and services to clients across the Midwest.
Doyle served as president and CEO of Grand Haven-based GHSP from 2007 until earlier this year.
He had previously served GHSP as vice president of sales and marketing and VP of human resources.
A native of Portland, Ore., Doyle has lived and worked in West Michigan since 1993, when he joined the former Donnelly Corporation.
“Paul has produced great success in building high performing, high-growth organizations,” Patterson said.
He added that the company is headed into a “period of significant growth.”
The company also named Bill Baumgartner president of Coastal Container.
Baumgartner has been with Coastal Container since the company’s founding in 2007. A graduate of the Michigan State University School of Packaging, Baumgartner has more than 22 years of packaging industry experience. Baumgartner will assume day-to-day leadership of Coastal Container’s packaging business.
The company said its leadership changes reflect its focus on growth.
“We are making an all-out commitment to growing the business, and getting the right leadership in place is a critical part of the equation,” Doyle said. “Bill’s experience at Coastal and within the industry is a tremendous asset.”
