A local book publisher took home three awards recently from the International Christian Retail Show in Atlanta.

Zondervan in Grand Rapids said last week that it was recognized for publishing three “best new products of the year.”

Three Zondervan titles received Best Awards at the show: "Fairest Beauty” by Melanie Dickerson in the young adult fiction category; "Fight" by Craig Groeschel in the nonfiction men’s category; and "The Daniel Plan" by Rick Warren, Dr. Daniel Amen and Dr. Mark Hyman in the health and fitness category.

"It's an honor to receive these Best Awards from the industry," said Annette Bourland, senior vice president and group publisher, Zondervan. "Each author is so deserving of this recognition, and we applaud each of them for this achievement."

Christian retailers, publishers, church store managers and volunteers were eligible to vote for the Best Awards.

The awards acknowledge “some of the most significant, new life-changing products in the Christian retail industry,” according to ChristianRetailingBest.com.

The International Christian Retail Show is the largest trade show and meeting of the industry.

Zondervan is one of the world’s leading Bible publishers and part of HarperCollins Christian Publishing.
