Time to eat some sandwiches.

Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. is producing the fourth installment of the Grandwich, a competition in search of the best sandwich in the city.

The competition started yesterday and runs through July 27, allowing eaters to try the most sandwiches possible and vote for the top 10.

People can register and vote online.

On Aug. 1, the top 10 sandwiches will be available to try at Rosa Parks Circle from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

McKay’s Downtown’s Royale with Bleu Cheese earned the title of Grandwich 2013.

The event was born in 2011, when Nicole Infante presented the idea at a 5x5 Night.

Now more than 40 businesses return every year for a chance at being named the Grandwich.
