A residential real estate franchise has opened a new office to grow its presence and roster of agents in the region.

Keller Williams, or KW, Kalamazoo said last week that its has relocated into a larger 6,511-square-foot office in Portage at the Shoppes at Romence Village, at 653 Romence Rd.

The local franchise moved to prepare for staff growth, expand its visibility and better serve the greater Kalamazoo market.

The KW Kalamazoo office was formerly located in Portage in a 4,133 square foot, second-floor office, at 8075 Creekside Drive.

M3 Architects in Kalamazoo renovated the new space, which cost about $200,000, said Gloria Royal, a Keller Williams Realty spokesperson.

The KW office is led by franchisee and operating principal Todd Foster.

Growth

The space on the first floor at the shopping center will offer the firm better visibility to the community, Royal said.

Royal added that there are 51 agents in the office, and “the goal is to grow that to 100 within the next year.”

New space

“This new flexible office space has a contemporary feel that reflects the progressive culture of our company,” said Kim Anderson, team leader, KW Kalamazoo. “It is easily accessible, with plenty of parking for agents, clients and individuals who want to stop by to ask about our much-improved real estate market.”
