Kellogg releases diversity report
Kellogg has released a report that spotlights its efforts to create a diverse workforce and supply chain.
Kellogg Company in Battle Creek said yesterday that it has published “Features,” its 2013-2014 diversity and inclusion annual report.
The fifth-annual report highlights the company’s work to build an environment where employees feel valued, included and appreciated for their differences.
The report outlines the steps the food maker has taken throughout the year to attract and employ people across gender and cultural borders, to ultimately build a stronger company.
Kellogg said the report also emphasizes the unique talents, skills and insights each employee and supplier brings to the table at Kellogg.
John Bryant, president and chief executive officer at Kellogg, said the company’s commitment to diversity ensures an understanding to deliver what customers and stakeholders demand.
“With greater diversity throughout Kellogg, we can encourage the sharing of richer, broader ideas that can lead to exciting innovations,” Bryant said.
Originally established in 1906 by W.K. Kellogg, the company has grown from 44 employees to become a global food maker with $14.8 billion in sales in 2013.
