Sun Title, a Grand Rapids-based real estate transaction and title services company, has been included on Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

This is the first time Sun Title has been on the list, which can be attributed to its 123 percent growth over the past three years.

Founded 10 years ago, Sun Title has opened five new locations since May 2013 and added 23 new employees. All of its growth has been organic, not through acquisitions of other firms.

With headquarters at 1410 Plainfield Ave. NE, Sun Title is locally owned and employs nearly 50 throughout West Michigan.

“We truly feel honored to be recognized for our efforts and named to this prestigious list alongside other top-tier companies,” said Tom Cronkright II, Sun Title CEO and founder with Lawrence Duthler.

He said the company is anticipating future growth next year, “more industry firsts and a shot at being named to the list for a second consecutive year.”

“We are incredibly focused on the needs of our clients and will strive to stay the most relevant title services provider in the market,” said Duthler, president and co-owner with Cronkright.

The Inc. 5000 is an offshoot of the annual Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.

The lists offer a look at a dynamic segment of the economy — the independent entrepreneurs who have beaten the odds by creating successful and sustainable businesses.

This is the 33rd year that Inc. Magazine has produced the list of companies that have shown strong business and revenue growth over a three-year period.

Those listed this year will be honored at the 33rd Annual Inc. 500|5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony in October in Phoenix.
