An auto supplier is hosting a job fair this week to fill 40 high-tech positions.

LG Chem Michigan in Holland, which makes large lithium-ion polymer batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage applications, said today that it will conduct the job fair on Thursday, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Holland, at 650 E. 24th St.

LG Chem is hiring for several open jobs: production operator, starting at $13 an hour; electrical and mechanical maintenance positions; and production engineer positions.

Prospective candidates should plan to meet with members of LG Chem’s staff to learn more about the positions.

Candidates should come prepared with a copy of a recent resume and may pre-apply online or at the job fair.

Those interested in operator positions should bring their WorkKeys certificate if they already have one. Otherwise, it can be scheduled at the job fair.
