The Grand Rapids Drive have a “founding partner.”

The team’s president Steve Jbara said this morning that Midland-based Chemical Bank has signed on to partner with the minor leage basketball team.

Chemical Bank will sponsor a Drive Charitable Jersey Theme Night, which will be based on one of the bank’s philanthropic partners.

The bank will also help provide pre-game basketball clinics, high-five tunnels, halftime shows, 50-50 raffles and post-game meet and greets.

“Partnering with the Drive provides us with the opportunity to expose our community to quality family-friendly basketball and events, while expanding our local efforts to support the Grand Rapids community and surrounding areas,” said David Quade, community president and senior lender, Chemical Bank.

Jbara said Chemical’s Bank “commitment to Grand Rapids” makes them a “great partner, who will support fans and team members alike.”
