Construction company unloads at auction
Is anyone looking to purchase relatively inexpensive vehicles or construction trailers?
Lamar Construction’s assets will be auctioned online on Sept. 30, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., at Repocast.com, an affiliate of the Bryon Center-based Miedema Asset Management Group.
Lamar Construction, which had locations in Michigan, Colorado and Kentucky, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on July 11.
About 177 Michigan employees were affected by the shutdown.
The company, which was based in Hudsonville, reportedly had more than 200 creditors and debts of $10 million to $50 million.
“Lamar had desirable assets across many states that we have retrieved for the trustee to be sold via an online auction,” said Scott Miedema, COO, Miedema Asset Management Group. “The Lamar auction will feature many late-model vehicles and other specialty equipment that both the public and other businesses will be interested in bidding on.”
The 58-item auction will feature vehicles, such as SUVs and pickups, as well as construction trailers.
The items are currently located at Repocast’s Wayland facility, at 3450 12th St., and can be viewed there from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
