A young juice bar is moving into a new neighborhood later this month — and expanding its chain of stores.

Sip Organic Juice Bar, which first opened in 2011 in Grand Rapids at 6770 Old 28th St. SE, has moved out its original location and plans to open a new Grand Rapids location on Oct. 20, at 888 Forest Hills Ave. SE.

The space was formerly a 7-Eleven.

The new space is being renovated by KBN Construction and will seat about 20, said Melissa Fischer, administrative coordinator, Sip Organic.

The new bar’s menu will be the same as its location in Grand Rapids’ Eastown neighborhood.

A staff of about 12 is being trained for the Forest Hills location.

Sip Organic Juice Bar has also expanded to the east side of the sate and nationally, opening stores in Novi and Chandler, Ariz. this month, Fischer said.

The company is now accepting inquiries from potential franchisees, according to its website.
