Belwith Products names president

An executive with an automotive background will champion a “continuous improvement” philosophy as the new president of Belwith Products.

Belwith Products, a maker of decorative and functional hardware, said last month that it has named Tim Emmitt its president.

Emmitt will be work out of the Grandville headquarters of Belwith Products.

The company’s divisions include Keeler, Hickory Hardware and First Watch Security.

Belwith said Emmitt brings experience gained from years working in the automotive industry, which the company thinks will be beneficial to its growth.

“His background with the automotive industry will provide strong processes and embed a belief of continuous improvement,” said John Veleris, chairman, Belwith Products.

Emmitt said he looks forward to being part of Belwith's "strong cutlure," and he's excited to join its "rich history."


Emmitt most recently served as the president of 52nd Street Advisors.

Prior to that, he was president at Romeo Rim, a director at Grant Thornton and CEO at Noble International.

Emmitt also spent 15 years working in various financial and leadership positions at Chrysler.

He currently serves as an adjunct professor in the M.B.A. program at Lawrence Technological University.

Emmitt received an bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.
