A group of local attorneys is answering the public’s questions on a slew of legal issues.

The Grand Rapids Bar Association is hosting a series of Ask-a-Lawyer programs at the Grand Rapids Public Library beginning this month.

The programs are free and open to the public. All programs will be hosted in the Ryerson Auditorium at GRPL’s downtown branch, 111 Library St. NE. The programs start at 6 p.m.

Each program will focus on a specific legal topic. The presentations will include an overview of that month’s topic, presented by a local attorney, and then a question-and-answer period.

This month’s program is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 19, and will focus on divorce and child custody.

Future programs

The attorneys also will address bankruptcy on Jan. 21, employee rights and wrongful termination on March 18, and Social Security and disability on May 20.
