Grand Rapids’ New Year’s Eve celebration is moving to a new location downtown.

The Subway New Year’s Eve 2015 Party will move from Rosa Parks Circle to Calder Plaza, according to a post at 105.3 HOT FM's website. The station is the event's organizer.

The new location offers more space for the public, concerts and ball drop.

HOT FM says the concert stage will be next to the Calder sculpture and two Mercantile Bank giant screens will display the show and also showcase tweets sent out by revelers, as long as the tweets include the hashtag #hotnye.

Tweets also give the tweeter a chance to win a $100 gift card from Family Fare. Partygoers can also enter their “best selfie” for a chance to win a big-screen TV from Decker & Sons.

The Consumers Energy warming tent will offer free hot chocolate. Consumers is also sponsoring the HOT New Year’s Eve ball, accompanied by the Celebration! Cinema countdown clock.

The Brian's Books stage will host four musical acts.

Headlining is Cobra Starship, a nationally touring act with multi-platinum hits “You Make Me Feel” and “Good Girls Gone Bad.”

Dyllan Murray, a 15-year-old pop singer and “rising teen sensation,” will also make an appearance.

Grand Rapids’ own The Outer Vibe, which played the event in 2013, returns to the New Year’s Eve stage.

And Fire Alarm, the winner of GR’s Got Talent, will open the show.

HOT FM’s Wingman will DJ on the stage as well.
