The city of Grand Rapids will hold its Used Motorized Equipment Sale this Thursday, at 9 a.m., in Comstock Park at the auctioneer M&W, at 979 West River Center Dr. NE.

The auction, which will likely last about an hour, will accept cash or check and be one of three vehicle auctions that morning, said Mike DeShetler, assistant VP, M&W.

M&W is also producing a separate municipal vehicle auction and public vehicle auction, which includes repossessed, seized and consignment vehicles.

About 100 vehicles will be up for auction on Thursday. The roster features an unmarked patrol car, pickups, sedans, vans, construction trucks and utility trucks.

“It’s basically one big auction,” DeShetler said. “The majority of them will be sold.”

The vehicles are being stored at M&W and can be viewed and inspected today and Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
