The organization also said that it has made other leadership changes for year: Brian Walker, president and CEO at Herman Miller, board vice chair; Sean Walsh, regional president of PNC Bank, board treasurer; and John Hendrickson, EVP of global operations and supply chain at Perrigo Company, appointed executive committee member.
The Right Place also named four people to the board: Dr. Marsha Rappley, dean of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine; Mark Stiers, president and COO at DTE Gas; Paul McCarthy, president of Rhoades McKee; and Bryan Harrison, supervisor for Caledonia Township.
The new appointments will replace several outgoing members who are retiring this year: George Haga, supervisor for Ada Township; Paul Hillegonds, SVP of corporate affairs at DTE Energy; and Robert Shaver, president of Rhoades McKee.
The full 38-member board of directors represents various industries.
The board members oversee the organization’s finances, strategy and policy, while also providing guidance on economic development strategies and issues.
