There’s a new president and CEO at Wedgwood Christian Services.

Zylstra

Grand Rapids-based Wedgwood, a social services nonprofit, said today that it has named Randy Zylstra to the role.

Zylstra has been serving as interim CEO since his predecessor resigned in December.

Previously, he served as Wedgwood’s chief of operations for 12 years.

Zylstra said that Wedgwood has a 50-year tradition of providing services that are "distinctively" Christian and professional.

“We have every intention of advancing those values further during these next several years," Zylstra said. "Our staff and board are confident, highly committed and absolutely aligned.”

Internal candidate

Zylstra’s appointment to CEO was made “unanimously” and “enthusiastically” by Wedgwood’s Board of Directors, said Rich Antonini II, board chairman.

“While an exhaustive national search was considered, given the information, observations and other insights we were able to obtain, the board of directors concluded we have our next leader in our grasp and that leader is Randy Zylstra,” Antonini said. “We could not be more pleased with this appointment, and Randy has graciously agreed to accept this appointment.”
