Dr. Lynn Happel graduated from MSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.
She opened up Eastown Veterinary Clinic in Grand Rapids in June 2011, with the goal of providing high quality, personalized medicine, while minimizing its paw print on the Earth.
The veterinary clinic specializes in dentistry, surgery, wellness and preventative care and is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association.
Biggest career break? Opening my own veterinary practice.
Proudest moment? Being named as a finalist for the Grand Rapids Business Journal Top Women Owned Businesses.
Best advice you’ve ever received? Be positive.
How did you make your first dollar? Teaching swimming lessons at the YMCA.
Most-treasured possession? My four-door Jeep Wrangler.
Dream job? I’m living it.
If I were president for a day, I would . . . ? Make everyone take a mindfulness-based stress-reduction class.
