A 10,000-square-foot industrial building has changed hands.

The Kentwood building at 3142 Broadmoor Ave. SE was recently sold by Christopher Metal Products to Khalsa Metal Products, according to Cameron Timmer, a Signature Associates sales associate who represented Khalsa and negotiated the purchase. Chad Versluis of NAI Wisinski of West Michigan represented the seller.

The building was sold for $265,000, according to the city of Kentwood.

Khalsa Metal Products, currently located in Grand Rapids, at 11491 3rd Ave. NW, has about 15 employees and was looking to move out of its space, because it was getting cramped. The company makes precision metal components for multiple industries.

Khalsa plans to renovate the building and move in and be fully operational some time in the next several weeks.

A contractor to do the renovation work has not been selected, but the work will likely be ongoing throughout the next couple months.
