An e-waste recycler and reseller is preparing to help businesses in the region shred their data just before Earth Day.

Comprenew will host a free data-shred day on April 18, from 9 a.m. to noon, at its Holland location, at 11379 East Lakewood Blvd. The event will include door prizes.

Comprenew said it will shred hard drives and other media items containing information, such as CDs and DVDs.

Advanced Document Destruction will also be on site, shredding paper documents, with a 10-box limit per customer.

People who donate non-working or unwanted electrical items to Comprenew for recycling will get a discount at Comprenew’s stores.
