A chiropractic practice is nearly tripling in size to accommodate its growth.

New chiropractic home

For years, Total Health Chiropractic has been located in its roughly 5,000-square-feet building in Kentwood at Bretwood Centre, at 4462 Breton Rd. SE.

Now, because of the growth it’s seen in recent years, the practice plans to move into a newer, larger home down the road in Kentwood, located right by Heritage Pointe Medical Park, at 2172 E. Paris Ave. SE.

Construction on Total Health Chiropractic's new 14,000-square-foot home broke ground last month.

The roughly $2-million building is expected to be finished some time in August or September, said Teri Miller, business director, Total Health Chiropractic.

Dixon Architecture in Ada is serving as the project’s architect.

First Companies in Grand Rapids is constructing and designing the space.

The building will have about 8,300 square feet on the first floor, about 3,000 square feet on the second floor and about 3,000 square feet in the basement.

“As natives to the Grand Rapids area, we are committed to serving this community and providing a full range of services in one convenient location to provide the best care possible,” said Dr. Christopher Miller of Total Health Chiropractic.

Expanded services

The building will allow Total Health Chiropractic to expand its services in the areas of pain relief, rehabilitation, spa, weight loss and body contouring, as well as add products.

Increasing staff

The new space and service expansion will also require a larger staff.

Total Health Chiropractic currently has a staff of about 22 with two associate doctors, and its “employee base will probably triple,” said Teri Miller.

She added that the new facility will also offer expanded hours.
