A home organization brand is rolling out three additions to its retractable Murphy bed product line.

New Murphy beds

ORG Home in Holland — a division of The Stow Company, which makes the beds — said last week that its line of Murphy-style beds now includes the Flip-up Desk Murphy Bed, Library Murphy Bed and the Bi-fold Murphy Bed.

ORG Home said each of its Murphy beds features a bed that can accommodate a standard mattress "for a good night's sleep," then fold back into a cabinet "to create an open space when the bed is not in use."

The beds are available in nine door styles with 16 color options, including wood veneer.

The Flip-up Desk Murphy Bed combines the home office and bedroom and is described as a multi-purpose product that “combines a useful work area and a cozy bedroom in one furniture piece.”

The Library Murphy Bed combines the library and bedroom. It features a sliding central bookcase that parts in the middle to accesss a queen-size Murphy bed.

The Bi-fold Murphy Bed includes either a twin, full or queen-size bed frame that is stored behind bi-fold doors.

Other features

ORG Home Murphy beds are designed with several other features, including a pillow storage box with an optional soft-close lid to hold pillows, blankets or other items nearby.

A folding headboard, which adds "a finished look" and keeps items from falling behind the mattress, comes standard with the Bi-fold Murphy Bed and Library Murphy Bed.

LED lighting can also be integrated into the cabinets to "enhance a room's atmosphere and draw attention to items on display."

All of the new Murphy Beds include a spring-balanced mechanism to make it easy to raise or lower the bed and a strap that keeps bedding secure when the bed is stowed.

Multi-purpose rooms

Consumers are looking for space-saving products of “exceptional quality and comfort” that are “versatile and beautiful,” according to Sharon Swendner, VP of marketing and communications, The Stow Company.

“By expanding our line of Murphy beds, we are enabling consumers to make the most of any space and giving them the confidence to welcome people into their homes,” Swendner said.

ORG Home Murphy beds provide the flexibility to convert several types of rooms into multi-purpose rooms: guest bedroom, home office, hobby or craft room, library, family room or child's bedroom.

They're also designed for studio or loft apartments, condominiums or any home "where space is at a premium."

Availability

ORG Home products are available through a nationwide network of authorized dealers that provide design and installation services.
