Cornerstone University names VP of adult learning

An experienced administrator and faculty member has been selected to oversee adult learning and a biblical seminary at Cornerstone University.

Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids said last week that it has named Peter Osborn vice president of adult learning.

The role

Osborn will oversee online learning, professional and graduate studies programs and the Asia Bible Theological Seminary.

Osborn will assume oversight of the seminary offering accredited part-time degrees through Cornerstone with two-week modules in selected cities throughout Asia.

He will also sit on the president’s cabinet and report to John Verberkmoes, who serves as the executive vice president of academics and dean of the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.

Higher education background

Osborn has roughly 15 years of experience working at Cornerstone University in a number of administrative and faculty positions.

He teaches core classes at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and online courses.

Osborn also serves on the school’s Educational Technology Committee, Assessment and Planning Committee and as an academic and program advisor for students.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Summit University, a master’s degree in educational ministries from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and a doctorate in higher education administration from Michigan State University.
