Bank names CFO
A Michigan-based bank has a new CFO.
Matt Morgan was promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer of First National Bank of Michigan this week. The bank has locations in Grand Rapids, Portage and Kalamazoo.
“Since joining the bank, Matt has met every challenge with confidence and competence — he is an integral part of our team,” said Larry Lueth, president and CEO. “Promoting Matt provides additional leadership in a time of unprecedented growth for First National Bank of Michigan.”
Morgan joined the bank in 2013 as a controller and became vice president in 2014.
Earlier this year, he became treasurer and secretary of the bank’s board and holding company, First National Bancorp Inc. Those responsibilities will be retained.
Morgan graduated with a master’s of science in accountancy in 2005 from Western Michigan University.
“I am excited about the CFO opportunity as First National Bank of Michigan continues to grow its strong balance sheet and support local businesses in West Michigan,” said Morgan.
