An office furniture maker in the region has named an ex-Herman Miller exec its new president.

Trendway in Holland said last month that it has appointed Mark Kinsler to the role.

Kinsler replaces Bill Bundy, who will continue to lead the company as its CEO. Bundy will assist in the transition until his planned retirement in 2016.

Decades of experience

Kinsler joined Trendway in 2014 as chief operating officer. In this role, he led sales, distribution development and customer relations.

Prior to Trendway, Kinsler served as VP of business attraction and international business development for Michigan Economic Development Corp., or MEDC.

Previously, he held sales leadership positions at Herman Miller over 26 years, most recently as SVP of sales.

Leading into the future

“We are especially pleased to have a person with Mark’s tremendous background to lead Trendway into the future,” said Don Heeringa, chairman, Trendway.

Kinsler said it’s an exciting time for the company, and he’s looking forward to leading to Trendway into new opportunities.

“There is tremendous potential in this organization that’s just beginning to be realized,” Kinsler said.
