Owner lists seven-story downtown building
A mostly vacant, seven-story building in downtown Grand Rapids is on the market.
The 160,000-square-foot Keeler building, located at 56 Division Ave. N at Fountain Street NW, is for sale.
The building, which has been largely vacant for at least 20 years, is owned by Arath III, Inc. in Grand Rapids. Arath, which is connected with James Azzar of Azzar Industry, Inc., purchased the building in 1995, according to city records.
The Keeler building is one of the last mostly vacant buildings of its size in downtown Grand Rapids.
The sale is being handled through Mark Ansara and David Rapp of Colliers International | West Michigan.
The list price was not disclosed.
Colliers said that despite the building’s “long-term vacancy,” it is “structurally sound.”
The firm is marketing the Keeler building as a “great opportunity for a buyer looking to redevelop the property into a viable solution to the growing scarcity of commercial space downtown,” adding that it’s “a blank canvas for either office space or mixed use.”
