HR management firm makes move
The area’s fourth largest private employer has a new home.
Axios Inc. purchased a two-story building at 528 4th St. for its new headquarters.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Comerica Bank financed the purchase. NAI Wisinski broker Bill Tyson negotiated the sale for Axios. Tony Pearson at True North Real Estate represented the seller.
Axios CEO Dan Barcheski said company growth and changes within the industry necessitated the move. The entire 9,600-square-foot building was renovated by Copperock Construction. Axios will use the building as its headquarters and it will house the company’s human resources division.
Between 35 and 40 employees will work from the new location. Axios employs approximately 5,000 people according Barcheski.
Axios was founded in 1988 as Staffing Inc. and provides a range of support services for client companies’ human resources departments.
