A private equity firm in the region has added an electronics company to its portfolio.

GVD Industries in Holland said this week that it has acquired Westshore Design in Holland, a maker of specialized electronic components and circuit boards for small businesses.

Westshore Design focuses on embedded controls, LED lighting and instrumentation markets.

The company was founded in 2003 and employs roughly 25 people, according to its website.

Westshore Design will continue to operate under its original name and from its location, at 514 Lincoln Ave.

"New markets"

“This addition to our company portfolio will not only allow us to continue serving existing customers, but also will enhance our ability to offer new technologies through our entire company holdings, while seeking expansion into new markets,” said Gary Van Dyke, CEO, GVD Industries.

“Technology has greatly changed the world we live in, and we are excited about being part of many new dynamic changes in the future. Westshore Design now gives us a new technology platform to create the future.”

GVD Industries

GVD Industries invests in small to mid-size distribution, manufacturing and service companies.
