ArtPrize party benefits GRPS art programs
Ain’t no party like an ArtPrize party.
Energy drink maker XS Energy and its parent, Amway, are hosting a party at ArtPrize to raise money for the Student Advancement Foundation to fund art programs at Grand Rapids Public Schools.
The event will be held tomorrow from 7-10 p.m. at the ArtPrize Club House in Grand Rapids, at 9 Ionia Ave. NW.
Tickets to the event are $50 each and include two complimentary drink tickets and appetizers.

“Amway wholeheartedly supports the arts, as evidenced by our leadership commitment to ArtPrize, but we also support arts education for students,” said David Madiol, manager of community relations, Amway.
“We felt holding a fundraiser during ArtPrize for the Student Advancement Foundation’s arts education programming in Grand Rapids Public Schools would be the perfect fit.”
This will be XS Energy’s second ArtPrize fundraiser.
“We’ve been paying close attention to ArtPrize and the way a local Grand Rapids public art contest has been able to engage the world,” said David Vanderveen, co-founder, XS Energy. “We’re happy to continue be able to offer some direct support.
“We’re excited to have Victor participate again too, as we feel he’s a great example of what can happen when you fuel dreams with positive energy.”
Since about 2002, XS Energy drinks have been sold exclusively through Amway, which said this January that it acquired the XS Energy brand.
XS Energy is a sugar-free energy drink brand that is sold in various flavors globally.
