Faith-based nonprofit names VP of development
A woman with nearly a decade of fundraising experience is the new vice president of development at a local faith-based nonprofit.
Mel Trotter Ministries in Grand Rapids said last week that it has named Bert Elliott to the role.
The nonprofit’s mission is to “demonstrate the compassion of Jesus Christ toward the hungry, homeless and hurting” in the area.
Most recently, Elliott served as director of major gifts and planned giving at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services.
She has also been a senior resource development associate and team leader of donor relations for Heart of West Michigan United Way.
Previously, Elliot was an educator with Forest Hill Public Schools and East Grand Rapids Public Schools for more than a decade.
She holds a B.S. from Michigan State University and an M.A. in educational administration from Central Michigan University.
