A mall is welcoming a new store focused on boards.

Zumiez opened last week at Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids in a 3,000-square-foot space, next to The North Face and across from Barnes & Noble, at 3195 28th St. SE.

The Lynwood, Wash.-based chain sells clothing, footwear, equipment and accessories for skateboarding and snowboarding.

Zumiez is a “great addition” to the mall’s “diverse mix of retailers,” said Terry Leshuk, marketing director, Woodland Mall.

The chain also has stores at RiverTown Crossings in Grandville and The Crossings in Portage.

Zumiez, founded in 1978, is a Nasdaq-listed company and operates 603 stores, mostly in the U.S.
