Wolverine Worldwide names brand president
Wolverine Worldwide has named an executive with more than 15 years of experience the president of one of its brands.
The Rockford-based footwear maker said last week that it has promoted Seth Cobb to president of Chaco. Most recently, Cobb served as VP of Global Consumer Direct at Merrell.
The position reports to Jim Gabel, Performance Group president, and will be based in downtown Grand Rapids.
Cobb replaces Chip Coe, who was promoted to managing director of the Wolverine Worldwide EMEA region in September.
Cobb will lead all aspects of the business and position Chaco for “accelerated global growth.”
In addition to closely managing domestic distribution and growth, Cobb will lead Chaco’s global expansion and the brand’s transformation from a high-performance water sandal company to a “consumer-led” lifestyle and outdoor brand.
Cobb graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College and received an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
He also serves as board vice chairman for the Conservation Alliance.
