The founder of a 25-year-old advertising firm is handing over the day-to-day leadership to an employee who has been with the company for most of its years.

Mark Tanis, founder of The Image Group in Holland, announced that Rich Evenhouse has been promoted to president of the firm.

Tanis will continue as CEO of the firm.

Evenhouse has been with The Image Group for 17 years.

He started out with the firm as a web designer and developer and later moved into the role of director of digital design.

He will continue to direct digital design for the firm, in addition to his new responsibilities.

Evenhouse will oversee the firm’s 14 employees and lead the firm toward greater web and video integration.

Evolving firm

TIG said it began with a lot of nonprofit work, which grew to include hospitals and universities, and now is extending its reach to business-to-business and business-to-consumer communication.

More and more, the firm is using web and video to enhance the client experience.

“While that has always been a part of what we do, we’re offering those services in new ways across each of our key markets,” said Katy Johnson, copywriter, TIG.

“Business keeps evolving, with a focus on digital and quick turnaround,” Evenhouse said. ”That kind of UX design is something our team excels in.”
