A supplier of material handling automation systems and software has launched a new SAP implementation practice.

Viastore systems said last week that its North American practice will be based at its Grand Rapids headquarters.

The practice will be lead by Harouna Mohamadou, who recently joined the company in the newly created position of director of SAP consulting.

"Get more out of" SAP

Viastore said the practice will help the company deliver SAP-based supply chain execution and warehouse management offerings.

Mohamadou said many companies have SAP, but aren’t fully utilizing the supply chain modules.

He said one of the core objectives of the new practice is to provide consultation, implementation and optimization services for manual and automated warehouses.

“With the EWM and WM modules, for example, we can extend the use of those modules, streamline and speed up the execution, as well as reporting and allow customers to ultimately get more out of their existing solution,” he said.

By combining the SAP implementations with its portfolio, viastore said its expects customers can experience several benefits, such as reduced inventory and increased picking.
