A Michigan technology dealer is relocating and expanding its headquarters in Grand Rapids.

Applied Imaging will move into a new 60,000-square-foot facility at 5555 Glenwood Hills Parkway SE to accommodate double-digit annual growth. The new facility will house the firm’s headquarters and Customer Loyalty Center, including a large showroom and service dispatch facilities.

The move from the company’s current 25,000-square-foot facility at 5282 East Paris SE is expected to occur in July, once the new facility is finished. Applied Imaging has been at its current location since 1999.

“Our growth throughout Michigan, both organically and through strategic acquisitions, has our current space at full capacity,” said John Lowery, founder and president. “Plus, our managed network service program requires additional personnel supported by several sophisticated technology upgrades to keep up with the demand we’re experiencing for local network support.”

NAI Wisinski of West Michigan brokers Stu Kingma and Jim Badaluco represented Applied Imaging in the purchase of the property. Applied Imaging started in Grand Rapids in 1987 and now has offices in Kalamazoo, Lansing, Traverse City, Petoskey, Novi and Ann Arbor.

“We’re excited to see a company with its roots here in Grand Rapids expand into a space of this kind,” Kingma said. “An expansion of this kind is not only great news for Applied Imaging, but it’s beneficial to the Grand Rapids community as well.”
