A Michigan-based gourmet pizza chain has opened two more locations in the region.

Ann Arbor-based Cottage Inn Pizza, which sells a “diverse collection of gourmet pizzas,” opened two locations, one in Portage and one in Niles, in the past two months. The Niles location opened in early December, and the Portage location opened earlier this month.

The Portage location is at 5000 S. Sprinkle Rd. The Niles location is at 434 S. 11th St.

Cottage Inn Pizza

The first Cottage Inn Pizza opened in 1948 in Ann Arbor as the first restaurant in the city to serve pizza.

The company began carryout and delivery in 1975, and it began franchising in 1986 with a location in Ypsilanti.

The menu features an array of pizzas, wings, breadsticks, subs and salads. Some locations, such as the one in Niles, offer a pizza buffet.

There are more than 70 Cottage Inn Pizza locations in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.

Other West Michigan locations

In West Michigan, Cottage Inn Pizza also has a location in Allendale and two locations in Kalamazoo.
