Firm brokers $6.6M sale of self-storage properties

Four self-storage properties in the area have been sold for $6,650,000.

Farmington Hills-based Pogoda Companies said last week that it helped facilitate the sale of the properties to the same unnamed buyer. Pogoda was also hired to manage the properties under the Pogoda brand National Storage Centers.

The properties were all separately owned prior to the deals.

Pogoda Companies operates more than 2 million square feet of self-storage space in Michigan and Ohio.

West River Storage Suites

Sitting on 5.53 acres at 5270 Samrick Ave. in Belmont, West River Storage Suites was built in 2007 with 46,050 square feet of space in 247 units in five buildings.

The listed price was $2.6 million.

Arroway Self Storage

Arroway Self Storage was built in 1988 and later expanded in 2005 and now has 44,542 square feet of storage space in 299 units in 11 buildings on 3.56 acres at 4121 14 Mile Rd. in Rockford.

The listed price was $1.8 million.

Stor N’ Loc

Stor N’ Loc has 11 buildings with 229 units totaling 54,878 square feet of storage space on 3.14 acres at 4970 West River Dr. and 820 West River Center Dr. in Comstock Park.

The listed price was $1.5 million.

334 West River Dr., Grand Rapids

The buyer purchased the six building, 85-unit site with 29,360 square feet of storage space on 2.06 acres at 334 West River Dr. in Grand Rapids to add to the portfolio he created in West Michigan.

The listed price was $750,000.
