A furniture supplier has named the new president of its locally based North American operations.

Steve Miskelley has joined LOGICDATA North America, a supplier of motor controls and operating elements for electronically controlled height-adjustable furniture.

LOGICDATA North America is based in Grand Rapids, at 1525 Gezon Pkwy SW.

LOGICDATA Electronic & Software Entwicklungs GmbH has its headquarters in Deutschlandsberg, Austria.

Miskelley previously served in the role of business development manager for Kimball Electronics Group.

He has also held key positions at Gentex and Johnson Controls.

Miskelley will be responsible for accelerating the growth of the LOGICDATA brand in North America and growing its U.S.-based capabilities and support.

Walter Koch, managing director and CEO of LOGICDATA Electronic & Software, said the company’s focus on North American business supports its strategic objectives.

He said Miskelley brings an “outstanding skill set” to lead the company’s effort to the next level of growth. He also said Miskelley’s track record “backs up those skills.”

Miskelley said he joined the LOGICDATA team, because of “their passion for product innovation and their culture for empowering people.”

“My entire career has been focused on helping businesses express their passions to those we get to work with, and that is why I am excited to be able to support the LOGICDATA North America team in this role,” he said.

The company opened LOGICDATA North America in 2011 in Grand Rapids.
