Four of the concerts that will be part of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park's Fifth Third Bank Summer Concert Series were announced today.

Meijer Gardens said The Monkees, Of Monsters and Men, The Decemberists and Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals will be included in this summer’s concert series lineup.

The complete lineup will be announced in mid April.

Members of Meijer Gardens will be able to purchase tickets during a members-only pre-sale April 30 through May 13. During the pre-sale, members will receive a $5 discount per ticket.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on May 14.

More information on prices and purchasing locations will be available following the release of the full lineup.

The Monkees, June 8

Assembled in Los Angeles in 1965 by Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider for the television series “The Monkees,” the quartet of Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, Peter Tork and the late Davy Jones brought a singular mix of pop, rock, psychedelica, Broadway and country to their music.

Now in 2016, Micky and Peter are on tour and celebrating The Monkees 50th anniversary.

Of Monsters and Men, June 13

Of Monsters and Men first had the world talking in 2011 with their infectious quadruple-platinum smash "Little Talks." An engaging mix of authentic indie and alternative, the Icelandic quintet's critically praised full-length debut, "My Head Is An Animal," climbed to the top of the Billboard Top 200 and has sold more than two million albums worldwide.

Since then, the group has delivered performances at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Coachella, Newport Folk Festival, Osheaga, Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Pukkelpop and Splendour in the Grass, as well as at sold-out headline shows all over the world.

The Decemberists, July 11

The Decemberists are an indie-folk band featuring Meloy, Chris Funk (guitars), Jenny Conlee (keyboards), Nate Query (bass) and John Moen (drums). In 2011, their album "The King is Dead" entered the Billboard album charts at number one, and the track "Down by the Water" was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Rock Song category.

More recently, they released an EP of outtakes from the album titled "Long Live the King," contributed the song "One Engine" to the "Hunger Games" soundtrack and put out "We All Raise Our Voices to the Air," a live album documenting their intensity on stage.

Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, July 13

Singer-songwriter Ben Harper plays a mix of worldbeat, folk, soul, blues and rock and is known for his guitar-playing skills and live performances.

A three-time Grammy winner, Harper has won for Best Pop Instrumental Performance, Blues Album and Traditional Soul Gospel Album.

A few of his hit singles include “Steal My Kisses,” “Forever,” “Burn One Down,” “Walk Away” and “Waiting On an Angel.”
