Bank opens downtown office
A West Michigan bank is expanding its presence into Grand Rapids.
Sparta-based ChoiceOne Bank announced today its expansion into Grand Rapids by leasing a downtown loan production office, at 237 Fulton W.
The office should be operating on an appointment basis by the end of March.
The 1,808-square-foot office will offer commercial loans and residential mortgages.
There are no plans for retail or personal banking services at this time.
“The banking industry has seen a lot of consolidations over the past few years, and Grand Rapids has certainly seen its fair share," said Kelly Potes, president, ChoiceOne Bank.
“We believe the families and businesses in Grand Rapids prefer the personal relationships ChoiceOne builds with our customers and the local support we provide to the communities we serve.”
ChoiceOne said it offers online applications for loans and mobile banking technology.
Troy Butler III and Bradley Henion will lead business development in the office, which will focus on local families and businesses near downtown Grand Rapids.
Butler is a VP and sales executive, and Henion is an SVP and chief lending officer.
Two mortgage lender positions will also be filled.
ChoiceOne operates branches in Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon and Newaygo counties.
