A third-generation family business that’s a distributor of HVAC equipment and parts has moved into the West Michigan market.

New Lenox, Illinois-based Munch’s Supply, which serves contractors and dealers, said this week that it has opened a 40,000-square-foot location in Wyoming, at 5805 Weller Ct., as well as Madison Heights.

Munch’s now employs 51 people in Michigan, including 16 at the Wyoming location.

Munch’s also has a location in Brighton.

Munch’s said it will sell more than 8,000 products, including Trane and American Standard equipment.

“Simply put, no HVAC company is too large or small for us to serve,” said Robert Munch, CEO, Munch’s Supply.

Munch’s is leasing the Wyoming space from L&V Development.

The company chose Wyoming as a convenient location for the Grand Rapids metro area and to serve delivery services for construction sites and shops.

“We are excited about this location in western Michigan,” said Scott Miller, president, Munch’s Supply. “In doing our research before entering the market, we identified this area as underserving local HVAC contractors.

“We have invested millions of dollars in inventory and look forward to being part of the community for years to come.”

Miller added that the company has plans for further expansion across Michigan.

Munch’s Supply was started by Willard Munch in 1956 as a local electrical supply company.

The company has facilities in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.
