A local construction firm has hired two new supervisors.

Triangle Associates announced the addition of Scott Huffman and Steward Klaus as project managers for Midwest senior living developments.

Additionally, the company promoted Brett Verner to field operations manager.

Huffman will be a site project manager in the Columbus, Ohio, area for Triangle, which will include managing the conduct and performance of the construction projects, contract management, project scheduling and execution.

Prior to Triangle, Huffman was a project manager for Columbus’ Superior Enterprises Unlimited and Quality Project Management in Tempe, Arizona.

He also has been a project coordinator for Interstate Companies in Sioux Center, Iowa.

Huffman is currently working on his MBA from Aspen University, where he also earned a bachelor’s degree in construction systems management.

A 25-year construction veteran, Klaus will control subcontractor activity on projects in the Detroit area.

Klaus has previously worked for Walbridge Construction, White Construction and J.M. Olson Corp. in Detroit, and at The Christman Co. in Lansing.

Klaus holds a bachelor’s degree in law and public administration from Eastern Michigan University.

Verner’s new role includes serving as a field mentor and monitoring quality and safety programs. He will also coordinate training and development programs and recruit new team members.

Most recently, Verner was a project superintendent with Triangle.

He previously worked as a project superintendent with AJ Veneklausen and Miller-Davis in Kalamazoo.
